Osculati Voltage Sensitive Relay – Code 14.921.90
Overview
This voltage sensitive relay (VSR) enables simultaneous charging of two batteries using a single alternator, making it ideal for dual battery systems in marine or automotive applications.
Operation
-
Engine Start
The relay remains open while the engine is starting. It only activates once the starter battery voltage reaches:-
13.7 V (for 12V systems)
-
27 V (for 24V systems)
-
-
Charging Phase
When the above voltage is reached, the relay closes the contact, allowing both batteries to be charged simultaneously. -
Engine Stop
As the engine stops and voltage drops below:-
12.8 V (for 12V systems)
-
25.2 V (for 24V systems)
The relay opens the contact, separating the two batteries.
-
Key Features
